I need to get a cordless phone, and prefer the analog because of the clearer or better sound (per consumer reports). I’m not concerned with security. However, reading the ads it appears on multiple (or 2) handsets you can’t talk:” handset to handset" with analog. Does anyone know what this means?

Does this mean you can’t talk internally from handset to handset drugs no prescription (like an internal intercom in the house) or does this mean I can’t call out and then have another person on the second handset interacting with the call?)
