My home phone service is with Company A. We had Company B over to our house (we were going to switch to Company B) but they would have had to run lines in plain sight to get phones where we want cheap drugs them – so we said no thanks to Company B.
2 weeks later, our phone is dead, Company A tells us they were requested to port our number to Company C (we never dealt with Company C nor did we ever contact them). Now we are waiting for Company C to port our number back to Company A.

How does this happen?
