Paramore perform Long Distance Call live on French TV. This time Hayley knows the lyrics (see other versions on youtube) and I think it’s a pretty good job overall. Recorded Novermber 2009.

Lizi, in the original version (by Phoenix), that guitar part that seems really out of time is an electric piano. It is intentionally played a little bit late on the 1 and 3 beat. If you haven’t listened to it, I strongly recommend it – it’s great. The lateness is just a stylistic choice that was made by Phoenix, and Paramore stays true to it with their cover. Very cool.

her voice is really pretty. but they weren’t together. :/ sorry. i like the original better. just stating my opinion.

hmm.. yeah i’ve hear the phoenix one & i agree it’s a stylistic thing because of the instrument they use (synth??), i just don’t think it works as well in their cover because it’s different instrumentation… just my opinion & i’d never put them down as I love their work.

there is literally no part where they’re not together. that’s just how the song goes, with the half-beat delay on kb part (guitar 2 for these guys)

I agree. Fake ass recycled rock sound is what paramore produces. This song just shouldn’t sound like this. They need to go back to the studio and have their producers/labels make more songs for them. Ugh…
